Process on Nalchik attack takes break till June 1

Today, the session of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria has made a decision to delay the next session of the trial on the criminal case about the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, till June 1, 2009. The break is caused by the state of health of three defendants, who need hospitalization, and also with the need for the defendants to get additionally acquainted with the materials of the criminal case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that yesterday, on May 6, defendant Sergey Kaziev could not get to the session, therefore, the court session was postponed.

Today, the court received Kaziev's petition, in which he asked to hospitalize him for treatment to the city infectious hospital. However, in the opinion of Galina Gorislavskaya, chair of the court, the submitted medical documents were not enough for making a decision. The petition was not brought to discussion.

Advocate Sultan Atalikov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "Sergey Kaziev has hepatitis aggravation."

Except for Kaziev, in-patient treatment is also necessary to defendants Albert Begidov who, according to his story, suffered from trigeminal nerve inflammation, and Aslan Zamaev, who complained of his sight deterioration.

We remind you that in January 2008 Valery Bolov, one of the defendants in this criminal case, died in the city infectious hospital from liver cirrhosis.
