South Ossetia: Kozaev brothers' case. Part 2

The video material entitled "Kozaev brothers' case. Part 2" (in Russian), filmed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent continues the story of Kozaev brothers, who were detained on August 9 by securities of South-Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity in Dzhava village, South Ossetia.

The sisters of Vadim and Vladislav are demonstrating awards received by Vladislav, among them - South-Ossetian Order of Homeland Defender and Memory Sign "Defender of Homeland of Abkhazia". According to their story, Vladislav had problems with Eduard Kokoity two years back, when Kozaev was beaten by securities of the President of South Ossetia.

According to Kozaevs' relatives, Eduard Kokoity began expressing his personal dislike to Vladislav, when the latter started criticizing the activities of the President. This personal dislike passed over to Vladislav's other relatives. The sisters say that they live in fear for themselves and their children.

"In South Ossetia, oppositionists are imprisoned together with their families," says one of the sisters and gives several surnames. "Now, it's Kozaevs time. Who's the next?"

A public committee was set up in defence of Kozaev brothers; it now strives for respect of remedial norms in relation to detainees. Officially, Vadim and Vladislav Kozaev were charged of "Using violence against power officials".
