Mukhu Aliev has discussed economic situation in Dagestan with Russian president

On March 23, Vladimir Putin, president of the Russian Federation, met Mukhu Aliev, president of Dagestan, in his Novo-Ogaryovo residence to discuss the economic situation in Dagestan.

According to the information received by the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" at the press centre of the president and government of Dagestan, Mr. Aliev had told Putin about realization of national projects in Dagestan.

President Aliev has reported that in 2006 the tax receipts into the budget of Dagestan went up by 1.6 billion roubles.

Touching on the issue of attraction of foreign investments to Dagestan, Mukhu Aliev has told that the "Nafta-Moskva" Company had concluded a contract under which Dagestan will receive 2.5 billion roubles. Also, investors will fund construction of a cement combine in Dagestan. The volume of investments into the Caspian Sea shelf development will make one billion roubles.

In the words of Mukhu Aliev, national projects are actively taking root in the Republic of Dagestan.
