American general in charge of AMD to visit Azerbaijan
It has became known to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" from informed military sources, this April Baku will hold closed consultations on the issue of deployment in Azerbaijan of the American Antimissile Defence (AMD) system. General Henry Obering from Pentagon's AMD Command will take part in the consultations.
We remind you that this is that very General Obering who disclosed at the end of last week the US' plans to deploy a radar of the AMD system in the Caucasus.
Meanwhile, Vassiliy Istratov, Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan, has declared at today's press conference that Russia will not remain indifferent in case of deployment of the AMD system elements in South Caucasus.
