International conference on human rights in SFD to be held in Volgograd

The international scientific and practical conference "Public Relations and Human Rights in the South of Russia: Background, Modern Times and Perspectives" was opened on May 30 in Volgograd at 10 a.m. in the congress hall of the scientific council of Volgograd state university (VolSU).

Employees of VolSU have related to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the conference is going to be attended by scholars from Russia and Germany, representatives of the RF ombudsman staff and RF government administration who monitor the observance of human rights in the regions and the cooperation of regional authorities with public and religious organizations, ombudsmen in the SFD subject provinces, chiefs of the region law-enforcement agencies.

The issues of strengthening Russian statehood, legal relations between state authorities and religious organizations, enhancing legal protection of RF citizens in the south of Russia are going to be discussed at the Volgograd conference. During the discussions, scholars will formulate the prospects for solving the issues and work out recommendations for improving the work of legislative and executive authorities in the SFD subject provinces.
