Four persons wounded in Grozny at attempt to arrest a suspected militant

Three law enforcers and a local resident were wounded in Grozny in an attempt of power agents to detain a suspected member of illegal armed formations (IAFs) yesterday, on March 19.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by a source in the Republic's MIA. According to his story, yesterday at night a critically wounded man was brought to one of Grozny hospitals, where he later died.

The incident happened in the Samashki Lane. A suspected IAF member managed to escape by wounding three militaries.

The militia source has added that the man who died in hospital from gunshot wounds had a certificate of a fighter of the "Yug" (South) battalion on him. Now, operative workers clear out whether this certificate is true and whether the casualty could have anything to do with the yesterday's skirmish in the Oktiabrskiy District of Grozny.
