North Ossetia: local resident who exploited soldiers detained

In North Ossetia, employees of law enforcement bodies have detained a resident of Vladikavkaz, who employed for working in his flower hothouses six regular soldiers, sent to him by their commander.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that back in 2005 the prosecutor's office of the Vladikavkaz garrison revealed facts of illegal use of regular soldiers for building civil objects in North Ossetia. Commanders of military units sent servicemen to perform works, which had nothing to do with their military duties, and got huge money for that.

This time, the soldiers for almost half a year took care after flowers in a hothouse of a local resident, even lived there, only occasionally appearing in their military unit, the "Interfax" reports referring to law enforcement bodies of North Ossetia.

Militiamen confiscated a Kalashnikov, two grenade launchers, cartridges and ordnance from the local resident and now try to establish who could be the owner of the arsenal. The resident was detained.

Earlier, it was reported that in North Ossetia the scale of illegal use of soldiers' labour is high. Regular soldiers look after cattle and perform heavy jobs in households of their "buyers".
