In Adygea, officials are ordered to be more careful when driving service cars
The government of Adygea has passed a statement instructing state servants not to use their service cars for personal needs and not to drive them personally. This decision can be a consequence of a recent road accident with involvement of the ex-head of the local branch of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party Aslan Agirov, when 4 persons were killed.
In the opinion of Nina Konovalova, leader of the Union of Slavs of Adygea, the statement was the govt's reaction to the resonant accident that happened on November 4, "The Kommersant" newspaper reports.
A criminal case on the fact of the accident was initiated on the following day, November 5. Because of heavy consequences of the road accident and a rather serious public resonance, on the following day it was transferred to the city of Maikop, the capital of Adygea, and entrusted to the inspector of the Investigatory Divisions of the Investigatory Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). For more than a month, law enforcement had failed to inform the public about the course of investigation of the accident, where a high-ranking official was involved.
