No explosive traces found in house ruins in Sochi

According to preliminary data of the explosive-technical examination that became known today, no traces of any explosive matter have been detected in the place of explosion of house No. 39 in Lesnaya Street located in the Blinovo micro-district of the Adler District of Sochi.

According to Oleg Erokhin, a criminalist from the investigatory division for the city of Sochi of the Investigatory Department of the Russian Investigatory Committee under the Public Prosecutor's Office for the Territory, the investigation still sticks to the version of natural gas explosion, the power of which was caused by excessive gas accumulation in a small confined room.

Mr Erokhin has noted that currently the house is surveyed by employees of the Ministry for Emergencies for its seismic resistance, since further work of experts-criminalists depends on survey results, the "Interfax" reports.
