Resident of Ingushetia apologizes for his social media posts
Law enforcers have forced a 19-year-old resident of Nazran, suspected of justifying terrorism, to apologize on camera. The young man repented of posting a video and comments, expressing regret that this could lead to problems for his family.
The video was posted by the Telegram channel "Wanted Ingushetia". According to law enforcers, in 2023-2024, the young man posted materials on the Instagram*, in which he justified the activities of a Salafi preacher who had sworn an oath to the "Islamic State" (IS)**, known as Akhmad Medinsky.
After the detention, law enforcers recorded an apology from a resident of Nazran. "I repent that I had posted terrorist videos, wrote comments, distributed and supported them. Because this is not the true way and can lead to problems for my family and relatives," he has stated in the video.
