Memorials to Crocus City Hall terror act victims appear in SFD cities

In cities of all the regions of the Southern Federal District (SFD), spontaneous memorials have been set up for the victims of the terror act in Krasnogorsk, local officials have reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, armed men burst into the concert Crocus City Hall in the town of Krasnogorsk near Moscow and opened fire. The FSB (Russian Federal Security Service) has classified the incident as a terror act. As a result, 133 people perished.

The FSB reported the detention of 11 suspects of involvement in the terror act. Four of them were detained in the Bryansk Region while trying to escape towards the Ukrainian border; they had contacts on the Ukrainian side, the FSB has reported.

Memorials to the victims of the terror act have appeared in Southern Russia. Thus, in Adygea, Maykop townspeople lay flowers in memory of the terror act victims at the "Forever with Russia" memorial, the city administration has reported in its Telegram channel.

In Krasnodar, youth activists have laid flowers and children's toys at a spontaneous memorial.

Since the early morning, residents of Anapa have been bringing flowers, candles and toys to the chapel of the Holy Prophet Hosea, the city administration has reported in its Telegram channel.

In Volgograd, a memorial was also set up at the Eternal Flame; dozens of citizens come there with flowers and toys to commemorate the victims, the local "V1.ru" outlet has reported.

In its Telegram channel, the administration of the Volgograd Region focused on the participation of the regional governor, Andrei Bocharov, in the mourning event.

After the terror act, authorities of North-Caucasian regions have reported stronger security measures. In particular, entertainment and mass events have been cancelled.
