Police conduct searches of activists of radical movement in Stavropol Territory

Searches took place at the premises of activists Maria Karnaukhova in Stavropol and at Stalina Erlenbach in Nevinnomyssk.

Blogger Alina Lushavina writes that Maria Karnaukhova lives in a dormitory with her five-year-old child.

The search conducted at Maria Karnaukhova’ place of residence was reported by activist’s neighbours. According to them, ten policemen are “breaking into” the woman’s room, blogger Alina Lushavina wrote on the social network “VKontakte”.

Stalina Erlenbach, who lives in Nevinnomyssk, reported that law enforcers had been accumulated near her house, the “OVD-Info”* reports. The activists do not know what has played as the reason for the searches.

The activists whose places of residence have been searched are supporters of the “Building the Future Ourselves” movement. Earlier, the movement changed its name several times, being called, among other things, the “Volya Party”**, the “National Union for the Revival of Russia”*, and the “Union of Wives and Mothers of Military Personnel,” the “SOTA” reports.

*Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.

**Declared extremist by the Russian Supreme Court.
