Resident of Kabardino-Balkaria fined for pacifist inscription on backpack

In Nalchik, a court recognized a pacifist inscription on a backpack as discrediting the Russian Armed Forces and fined a local resident 30,000 roubles. That was reported by the human rights project “OVD-Info”*.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the police detained Tamerlan Ivanov for a pacifist inscription on his backpack seized his mobile phone and backpack. Administrative protocols were drawn up against him for failure to obey lawful demands of a policeman and for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. Under the first protocol, Tamerlan Ivanov was fined 4000 roubles.
