Akhmadov attacks Zakaev with accusations of Chechen blogger Tumso’s murder

The possible murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov could be organized by Akhmed Zakaev, who was criticized by the blogger. This was announced by Chingiz Akhmadov, the director of the “Grozny” TV Channel, who ignored the fact that Tumso Abdurakhmanov was criticizing the Chechen authorities for years.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 1, the information appeared on the Internet about the murder of Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov in Sweden. On December 5, associates of Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported his murder. Shamil Albakov, a member of the Assembly of Chechens of Europe, and lawyer Abubakar Yangulbaev hope that the disappearance of Tumso Abdurakhmanov can be explained by an operation conducted by the Swedish special services.

Akhmed Zakaev is the special representative of Aslan Maskhadov in the West (2001) and the prime minister of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (2007-2009). He was put on the international wanted list on the charge of terrorism, and he was granted political asylum in the UK. In 2009, Ramzan Kadyrov invited Akhmed Zakaev to return to Chechnya.

Chingiz Akhmadov, the director of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company), released a video in which he stated that Akhmed Zakaev was responsible for the possible murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov. According to him, Tumso Abdurakhmanov “has been actively criticizing” Akhmed Zakaev for the past several years and has stated that the government of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria headed by Akhmed Zakaev “is not legitimate.”

The director of the “Grozny” ChGTRK associated the assassination attempt on Tumso Abdurakhmanov with the creation of a political party by him. Chingiz Akhmadov pointed out that Akhmed Zakaev kept silence about the possible murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov for a week and only after that “gave an interview to a Ukrainian TV Channel” in which he “tried to discredit” the blogger.

Chingiz Akhmadov has also added that “the silence of the Swedish authorities about the murder” also points to Akhmed Zakaev, “since they apparently do not want a scandal with England.”
