Criticism of Putin results in fine imposed on Kislovodsk woman

A court in Kislovodsk has fined a local woman by 30,000 roubles, finding her post in the social network criticizing the actions of Russian President, Vladimir Putin, as discredited the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, 2022, administrative responsibility was introduced for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, after which residents of Russian regions, including Southern Russia, are massively prosecuted under this article.

According to investigators, the above Kislovodsk woman had placed a post on the Facebook* that discredited the Russian Armed Forces. She posted some images with the text that included Gary Kasparov's assessment of Putin as Supreme Commander of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as his intentions.

The woman has explained that she did not pursue any illegal goals and that she did it by accident.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on October 4, it became known that law enforcers had drawn up two protocols against Pavel Gladkikh, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, under the article on discrediting the Russian Army.
