Residents of Dagestan speak out against mobilization of non-professionals

Military commissariats summons are often served to those who have no combat experience and have not undergone any army service, while only professional militaries should be sent to the combat zone. This is the opinion of the majority of the residents of Dagestan interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

Magomed, 59, supports the mobilization. "In such a hard time for the country, everyone should help the Motherland," he believes.

Ibragim said that the summons came to his 37-year-old nephew, who has three children and did not serve in the army. "You can talk a lot about patriotism, but when it comes to your relatives, you want to protect them from all this. He is not a professional reserve military, but an ordinary entrepreneur, who has never held a weapon in his hands," said a resident of the republic.

According to Zeinab, a woman of 40, at the start of the special military operation, her husband "had patriotic sentiments." "But when the mobilization was announced, his moods changed. Our son is 19 years old; he is a higher school student. I can't imagine how to live on, when your only untrained son is sent [to the special operation zone]," says Zeinab.
