Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on partial mobilization, instructing the heads of Russian regions to ensure the conscription of reserve servicemen for military service.

Today, the President of Russia has announced that he had signed a Decree "On announcement of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation," the "Interfax" reports. According to the decree, the Russian citizens called up for military service by the mobilization are awarded the status of contract military servicemen. The heads of Russian subjects (regions) are instructed to "ensure the conscription of citizens for military service for mobilization for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the numbers and within the timeline as defined by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) for each constituent entity of the Russian Federation," the "Interfax" informs.
