In responsibility zone of Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh, three violations of the ceasefire regime by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been recorded; as a result of which a Karabakh soldier was wounded, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the tense situation remaining on the contact line in the Karabakh conflict zone. The peacemakers' command and Nagorno-Karabakh authorities are taking steps to prevent escalation, the MoD of the unrecognized republic stated on August 2.

Within the last 24 hours, Russian peacemakers registered three violations of the ceasefire regime by Azeri Armed Forces, "as a result of which a member of Nagorno-Karabakh armed formations was wounded," the Russian MoD stated on its website late on August 2. The situation has been settled, "no changes in the parties' contact line have been admitted," the MoD has assured.

"Two automobile convoys of Azerbaijani Armed Forces were escorted along the Shusha-Zabukh route and back," says the Russian MoD's information bulletin. During the past 24 hours, Russian engineering and sapper groups demined 0.5 hectares of territory and liquidated 22 explosive objects, the report says.
