US Congressman proposes transferring HIMARS to Georgia

When explaining his call to transfer HIMARS multiple rocket launchers to Georgia, US Congressman Adam Kinzinger wrote that after the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia might enter into an armed conflict in Southern Caucasus.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on July 28, the US Senate called on the US Department of State to include Russia in the list of states sponsoring terrorism. The call was explained by the events in Ukraine, the participation of the Russian troops in the “Five-Day War” on the territory of Georgia, and the executions of civilians in Grozny in 2000.

Today, US Congressman Adam Kinzinger has posted on Twitter his call to transfer HIMARS multiple rocket launchers to Georgia. “Russia has occupied 1/3 of the territory of Georgia. […] Perhaps after Russia [finishes its military operation] in Ukraine, it will open fire on the territories it occupies. HIMARS for Georgia!” the US Congressman wrote.

Adam Kinzinger is a co-chair of the Group of Friends of Georgia in the US Congress, the “News-Georgia” reports today.
