No SFD's residents registered among the victims in the camp near Angarsk

"There were no residents of the South Federal District (SFD) among the victims of the attack on the protest tent camp," a participant of the ecological action held by the "Autonomous Action" Movement and "Rainbow Guards" Organization in the vicinity of Angarsk, Irkutsk Region, told by telephone to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has informed, that on July 21 the camp of ecologists was attacked by about 15 neo-Nazis-skinheads, who were beating the activists with concrete reinforcement bars, baseball bats and a hammer. Two of them were armed with pneumatic pistols. As a result of the attack, 9 persons were taken to the city hospital. One of the victims, Ilya Borodaenko, a native of the city of Nakhodka, died from the traumas inflicted to him in the neck area.

Currently, two persons are still at hospital - Marina has her arm broken and a craniocerebral trauma, and Yuri is in extremely grave condition (pancreatic gland rupture).

According to the activist, the militia has taken away practically all the belongings of the camp residents, some ecologists just remained in their only shirts and trousers. Thus, the camp was removed for the sake of holding the investigation.

The ecologist has noted that the action continues despite the tragedy. On July 23, a non-sanctioned picket was held in Angarsk. Two participants of the action were detained by the militia and fined.

The participants of the protest action insist that Ilya Borodaenko's murder was customized and had an obvious political character.
