North-Caucasian republics are among regions with lowest consumption of antidepressants

Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia are among the top 10 regions of Russia, where residents consumed the least amount of antidepressants over the six months of this year.

According to a study conducted by the Centre for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CDAT), which is the operator of the "Chestny Znak" (Honest Sign) digital marking system, Dagestan, Ingushetia and Chechnya are among the top regions of Russia, where in January-June 2022, antidepressants were bought least often.

During this period, people of Chechnya bought 90 packs of antidepressants per 10,000 of population. According to the CDAT's study, less than this amount were bought in the Republic of Tyva - 59 packs. It follows from the CDAT's website on July 7.

As for Dagestan, in January-June, 2022, there were 228 packages of antidepressants per 10,000 of population; and in Ingushetia – 212 packages.
