Relatives of Dagestani military outraged by absence of authorities' help in body delivery

During the farewell ceremony, relatives of Tamerlan Ilyasov, a military serviceman from the Akhty District of Dagestan, who perished in the special operation in Ukraine, criticized the district administration that failed to ensure the delivery of Tamerlan's body to his native village, and not a single district official appeared at the funeral of the perished officer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of May 9, the total number of natives of Dagestan who had perished in the special operation in Ukraine reached 102.

On May 9, in the "Voice of Dagestan" group of the "VKontakte" social network, a video was posted, in which a woman from the Akhty District criticized local authorities for absence of help in transporting the body of her nephew, who had perished in the special operation in Ukraine.

On May 9, in his page on the social network, the user, Ramiz Alimov, explained that the officer in question was Tamerlan Ilyasov, who perished in Ukraine.

"In the course of a fierce battle, my brother Tamerlan has perished. <…> On May 7, I and his uncle, who was like a father to him, took the body. But no one from the administration and the military commissariat has helped us in this difficult matter. No one met and escorted the body on the way and even at the entry to his native village. District bosses failed even to express condolences to the hero's parents and honour his memory at the funeral," Ramiz Alimov wrote in his page on the social network.
