At action in Baku, veterans demand insurance payments

Contrary to the law on compulsory medical insurance, war invalids are not paid the due insurance sums, protesters have declared.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Azerbaijan, veterans of the Karabakh war have repeatedly complained about poor social conditions; while the country's authorities periodically report about their help to veterans. Thus, in October 2021, they reported on handing the keys to 50 apartments over to the families of those who perished in the 2020 Karabakh war and to the disabled.

On April 18, 2022, a group of Karabakh war veterans held an action in front of the building of the "Azersygorta" State Insurance Company, the "Turan" News Agency has reported.

"Every time they deceive us ... Last time they promised to pay the money on April 18, but today they send us to the State Social Protection Fund, and they send us back to the 'Azersygorta'. We need medical treatment, but they give us no money," one of the protesters has complained.
