Krasnodar resident fined under article on army discrediting

A fine of 30,000 roubles for discrediting the Russian Army has been imposed on a resident of Krasnodar, who set fire to a sofa in the street, writing a word with letter Z next to it.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since the start of the special operation in Ukraine, activists have been holding pacifist actions. After the article about discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was adopted, a number of activists have been fined under it. Thus, on April 14, a court in Sochi fined a man who, according to law enforcers, had torn letters Z and V from a booth.

A court in Krasnodar has found the above 24-year-old local resident guilty of discrediting the Russian Army, the press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory has informed. "On April 13, the man ... held a protest action. He used slogans and set fire to a sofa in order to attract attention," the "Interfax" reports.
