Volgograd activist Grodnikova calls on to investigate events in Bucha

Tamara Grodnikova, a pensioner, has held a solo picket in Volgograd calling on the authorities to create a civilian commission to travel to Bucha and make public the findings about the massacres of civilians committed there.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Tamara Grodnikova, a Volgograd pensioner, has repeatedly held solo pickets, criticizing authorities and demanding, among other things, to stop pressure on independent media and release political prisoners.

On April 11, Tamara Grodnikova went out to a solo picket in central Volgograd with posters containing questions about what happened in the Ukrainian town of Bucha and a proposal to the authorities to set up a commission of civilian volunteers to travel there, inspect the area and interview residents of Bucha, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who visited the venue of the picket, has reported.

"I want to know what happened in the Ukrainian town of Bucha. I want to see everything with my own eyes; and I want to talk to locals. And then, upon returning to Russia, I'll tell my fellow citizens about it. I ask our state to organize a safe (if possible) trip there and back," Tamara Grodnikova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
