A man blown up by a mine in Fizuli District

Vugar Zulfugarly was severely injured as a result of a mine explosion in the Fizuli District, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan reported.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that people are regularly killed and injured in mines explosions in the territories that came under the control of Azerbaijan after the Karabakh war in the autumn of 2020. So, on January 18, in the Goranboy District, 26-year-old shepherd Vugar Mamedov stepped on a mine while grazing cattle and lost his leg. On February 1, Ismail Mikailov, a resident of the Kelbadjar District, died in the Yevlakh District after being injured in a mine explosion.

Today, Vugar Zulfugarly, born in 1996, has been blown up by a mine in the Fizuli District, returned under the control of Azerbaijan after the 44-day war in the autumn of 2020.

In total, since November 10, 2020, seven militaries and 30 civilians have been killed in mine explosions, and other 110 militaries and 48 civilians have been injured, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan reports.
