Armenia's IC counts 3809 casualties in Nagorno-Karabakh autumn war

During the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh in the fall of 2020, a total of 3809 people perished, and 220 others are still missing; the data was released today by the Investigating Committee (IC) of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 4, 2021, the Armenia's IC announced that 3788 people perished during the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, and other 246 ones, including 22 civilians, were listed as missing.

On January 19, the IC posted the updated information on its website: during the war in the fall of 2020, a total of 3809 persons perished in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. As of January 19, 2022, 199 military servicemen and 21 civilians were listed as missing.

After the end of the hostilities, Azerbaijan handed 141 prisoners of war (POWs) over to Armenia, including both militaries and civilians, the IC has specified.
