Leader of Chechnya: I'll let nobody goof on people
President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has stated the inadmissibility of illegal investigatory methods, the attention to which was drawn by heads of law enforcement bodies and representatives of power agencies of the Republic, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio broadcasts.
"Whatever Ministry the subdivision belongs, I'll let nobody goof on people," Mr. Kadyrov has declared at his meeting with the members of the Public Chamber of Chechnya on May 5, the NEWSru.com reports.
President Kadyrov has emphasized that "today Chechnya is free of armed gangs, the leaders of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were liquidated or are serving their penalties, therefore, every person shall have the right to hope that nobody, irrespective of his or her position, will be allowed to prejudice one's rights, and moreover to encroach on one's freedom and life."
He has called on the members of the Public Chamber "to carry out civil supervision over the operation of the authorities," and added that "it would only be for good."
