Proxy of candidate for State Duma MP beaten up in Anapa

Rostislav Scherbakov, a proxy of a candidate for an MP from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), has filed two complaints about violations during the voting in the city of Anapa and was attacked at the exit from the polling station.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that observers and the deputy, Alexander Korovainy, informed that on September 17, voters were massively brought to polling stations in the Krasnodar Territory.

Kuban is in the top five regions with the largest number of complaints about violations, notes David Kankiya, an activist of the “Golos”* (Vote) movement.

According to Rostislav Scherbakov, a proxy of Dmitry Kolomiets, a candidate from the CPRF, he was attacked while getting into his car.

"I went out of the building where the precinct election commission is located. There are two polling stations there, Nos. 02-09 and 02-10. There, I filed two complaints, because the observers from the CPRF were hampered in observing the voting process. The second complaint related to the register for mobile voting; it was drawn up with violations," Mr Scherbakov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The attackers came up from behind, struck several blows on my back and waist, sprayed gas from a barrel into my face and ran away, Rostislav Scherbakov has added, explaining that because of the gas, he could not see the attackers' faces. Policemen arrived at the venue, interrogated the victim, drew up a protocol and accepted his application about the crime.
