Krasnodar: journalists against law on foreign agents

Valeria Dulskaya and Anastasia Scheglova, Krasnodar journalists, have held solo pickets as part of the all-Russian action in support of their colleagues stigmatized as foreign agents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August, members of the "Syndicate-100" journalistic association made an appeal to Russian President, Vladimir Putin, stating the need to amend the legislation on "foreign agents". The "Caucasian Knot" has also joined the media campaign against the laws on foreign agents.

In the evening on September 8, the above Krasnodar journalists, Valeria Dulskaya and Anastasia Scheglova, who work for the "93.ru" news portal, held their solo pickets on the occasion of the International Day of Journalistic Solidarity and in support of their colleagues recognized as foreign agents. The women held their protest as part of the all-Russian support campaign, the "Yuga.ru" writes.

The journalists were standing in the square near the building of the territorial administration. The first picket was held by Anastasia Scheglova; she was holding a poster: "There are no foreign agents, there are journalists". Then, she was replaced by Valeria Dulskaya, who kept holding the same poster. Both pickets ended without detentions, the "93.ru" reports.
