Peacemaking doctors rescue Georgian policeman

The medical stuff of the CIS Collective Forces for Peacemaking (CIS CFPM) in the zone of Georgian-Abkhazian conflict have saved the life of a police employee from Georgia in the upper section of the Kodor Gorge. Colonel Alexander Diordiev, assistant commander of the CIS CFPM for information support, has told journalists about the fact. In the morning of February 21, General-Major Sergey Chaban, Commander of the CIS CFPM in the zone of Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, received information that in the upper section of the Kodor Gorge a Georgian policeman was wounded as a result of careless firearms handling. Officers of the emergency medical aid group were immediately called up.

"The Georgian doctors who were waiting for the victim at hospital thanked warmly their Russian colleagues and stated that without the latter's high-qualified interference, the life of the guy of 18 could have been lost right in transportation," Colonel Alexander Diordiev, assistant commander of the CIS CFPM for information support, has reported.
