North Ossetian journalists find materials of web-site "Ingushetia.Ru" to be nationalistic

The journalists of North Ossetia who have initiated the public prosecutor's examination of the Internet-portal "Ingushetia.Ru" think that the statement of Zalina Markhieva, editor-in-chief of the web-site, "has nothing to do with reality."

In particular, Z. Markhieva has declared that "in its activities, the Internet-portal "Ingushetia.Ru" is guided by international and Russian legislation," therefore, "any messages in the free sections of the web-site ("Forum," "Guest Book," etc.), containing uncontrolled vocabulary, appeals to extremist or other forbidden activities, or those kindling interethnic enmity, will be checked and cancelled by the moderators."

"The application of editor Z. Markhieva is an unpersuasive attempt to soften the situation which has arisen after the public prosecutor's examination of the web-site, and to justify herself," a lady-journalist has told the "Caucasian Knot."

"The Internet-resource "Ingushetia.Ru" is overwhelmed with materials of radical anti-Ossetian character," she added.

We remind you that it has been reported earlier that Herman Shtadler, public prosecutor of North Ossetia, stated on February 13, speaking to the Collegium of the Republic's Office of Public Prosecutor, that the examination of publications from the web-site "Ingushetia.Ru" had revealed facts of kindling interethnic enmity.
