Joint group will continue investigation of Kodor Gorge incident

A joint investigatory group will conduct an additional investigation into the incident in the upper section of the Kodor Gorge connected with the shelling on the night of March 12.

The correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" was informed about it at the United Staff of Command (USC) of the CIS Collective Peacemaking Forces (CIS CPMFs) in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.

Tomorrow, on March 23, the quadrilateral group for revealing facts of violation of the Moscow Agreement on cease-fire and separation of forces of May 14, 1994, will be sent to the top section of the Kodor Gorge, controlled by Georgia, and will stay there for 3-4 days.

The USC of the CIS CPMFs have explained that the information retrieved in the upper Kodor on March 13-15 proved insufficient to make a conclusion.
