Nine Azeri residents detained for visiting Karabakh

Residents of the Agdam District tried to enter non-demined territories' policemen have detained them, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Azerbaijan were repeatedly detained for entering non-demined territories. In April, residents of Azerbaijan, Zamir Akhmedov and Zamig Farzaliev penetrated the territory of Fizuli District, aiming to collect non-ferrous metal there. While trying to escape from law enforcers in a car, the driver knocked down a policeman and two military servicemen.

Nine people have tried to move from Chemenli village to non-demined territories, the "Report.Az" has informed.

Let us remind you that Azerbaijani authorities have banned Azeri citizens from visiting the territories that have come under Baku's control. Both marauders and forced migrants who want to visit their minor homeland are trying to get there. Thus, in March, six Azerbaijani citizens wanted to get to the village of Yusifdjanly in the Agdam District. Five of them got blown up by anti-personnel mine: two perished and were wounded.
