On April 28, the European Union (EU) also drew attention to the problem of returning POWs; in its statement, the EU called on Baku to provide information about the Armenian POWs requested by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and to speed up their return to homeland.

After the end of hostilities, during these six months, we found, together with peacemakers and representatives of the Armenian party, about 1600 bodies of perished Armenian military servicemen, which were handed over to the Armenian party," the TASS quotes President Aliev as saying.
