KBR resident apologizes to Mufti for beating up alcohol drinkers

At the meeting at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, the young man and his father have apologized to the Mufti of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) and republic's Imams for beating up two men who drank alcohol. This was announced by Alim Sizhazhev, a Deputy Mufti.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a video posted on a social network showed three young men who asked to forgive them for beating up two men who drank alcohol in the Tersky District.

"The meeting has noted that the young guys' offense was a big stain on the republic's Islamic Umma. It is necessary to conduct a sermon condemning this incident and explain the inadmissibility of such tricks to parishioners, as well as the responsibility of everyone who positions himself as a Muslim," the republic's SAM has stated.

Imam Sizhazhev said that the guy had expressed his sincere regrets about his wrongdoing and assured that he would never do it in the future. The father also asked to forgive his son.

Earlier, Khizim Misirov, another Deputy Mufti of the KBR, also condemned the young guys' action. During the month of Ramadan, a person should especially restrain his temper and behave nobly, he has explained.

Artyom Khatukhov, a local public figure, has treated the incident as "a blatant disgrace."
