Combat collision in Stavropol Territory

A skirmish, as a result of which one militiaman was killed and another one wounded, burst out in the city of Neftekumsk, Stavropol Territory. According to preliminary data, one militant was liquidated and two more detained, Victor Ignatiev, head of the press service of the Chief Interior Department ("GUVD") of Stavropol Territory, told the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot."

In his words, the militiaman (militia captain, operations agent of a special militia unit) was heavily wounded in his head and consequently died. The other militiaman got an arm injury.

Victor Ignatiev added that the special operation started today about 7 a.m. Passport check was made at one of the addresses. Suddenly, unknown persons opened fire on the operative agents from the house at 31 Kirichenko Street. Before starting a storm, the agents managed to evacuate a woman and two children from the household.

During the last year, this is not the first case of combat collision in the Neftekumsk District of Stavropol Territory.
