Woman from Nalchik tells about her grandchildren's living conditions in Syria

The group of children returned from Syria to Moscow included two grandchildren of Aishat Djangurazova, a resident of Nalchik. After her son-in-law perished and her daughter was captured, their four children ended up in refugee camps, and two of them are still in Syria, she said.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 19, 44 children were returned to Russia from Syria.

This group of children included two kids – a brother and a sister aged 10 and 9, natives of Kabardino-Balkaria. Their grandmother, Aishat Djangurazova, said that her daughter left for Syria with her husband. "At the time of their departure, they had two children. Other two were born there. Then, the son-in-law perished; and her daughter was captured by the Kurdish militia three years ago," the woman said.

First, the prisoners were kept in the refugee camp in Ain Isa; then, the camp was burned down; and the prisoners were transferred to the Al-Khol camp, she added. "They live in tents, sleep on the ground, no water, nothing," the woman from Kabardino-Balkaria has explained.

She expressed the hope that her other two grandchildren and her daughter would also be taken out of captivity.
