Public debates on settlement of Karabakh conflict are held in Nagorny Karabakh

On the initiative of the Stepanakert NGO Resource Centre, an educational program was launched in the city of Shushi (Nagorny Karabakh), within the framework of which the first lecture was given on the topic "Present State of Settling the Karabakh Conflict."

According to Irina Grigoryan, manager of the Resource Centre, till the end of July they plan to give some 10 lectures more in Stepanakert, Shushi and Martuni. The lectures will be given by well-known political scientists and experts. The project is carried out under support of the British organization "International Alarm."

The Martuni Debate Club, which also works under support of the "International Alarm," has recently held a roundtable among schoolchildren in the Karabakh village of Kert. The participants spoke about the prospects of settling the Karabakh problem, about the image of enemy and education of the growing generation.
