Kadyrov puts former nominee for Chechen president into the chair of mayor of Grozny

Muslim Khuchiev, head of the regional branch of the party "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Rightful Russia), has been appointed the new mayor of Grozny. The news was reported in the office of the president and the government of the Republic. This was not the first cadre reshuffling in the Republic made by the new head of Chechnya.

"Muslim Khuchiev is also vice-president of the public foundation named after Ahmat-Hadji Kadyrov and head of the regional branch of the party 'Spravedlivaya Rossiya'," the official said.

In his words, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that in 2007, the city of Grozny should be completed, and he decided to assign this "complex piece of work" to Khuchiev. The former mayor of the Chechen capital has got no appointment to any post.

Yesterday, Ramzan Kadyrov dismissed the administration head and commander of the District Interior Department ("ROVD") of the Vedenskiy District. Both state servants were appointed to new positions.
