Bad weather thins out opposition rally in Yerevan

Despite the deteriorating weather conditions, more than 100 opposition supporters remain in a round-the-clock camp in front of the Armenian parliament and continue to block the entrances and exits of the building. The protesters announced that they would leave the territory only after the resignation of the Armenian Prime Minister.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, opponents of Nikol Pashinyan set up tents in front of the parliament, and on March 9, they blocked the entrances and exits of the building. On March 10, a new rally was held, in which, according to police estimates, 2500 people took part.

The supporters of the opposition movement continue their round-the-clock protest in front of the Armenian parliament, despite the strong wind and bad weather. However, the number of participants of the protest action has noticeably decreased. At present, more than 100 people stay in the tent camp.

According to Artyom Lazaryan, the spokesperson for the youth wing of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun", Nikol Pashinyan makes unjustified territorial concessions, and his policy threatens the Armenian statehood.

The opposition supporter believes the movement is not gaining mass character, in particular, due to the fact that people are in mourning and they have no time for politics. In addition, the bad weather prevents mass accumulation of people, Artyom Lazaryan suggests.

Edgar Sargsyan believes that Nikol Pashinyan and his team are leading the country to collapse. According to him, after the weather becomes warm, the protest movement will gain momentum.

Nikol Pashinyan must appear before the court, says Ararat Grigoryan. He believes that the country needs a strong leader now.
