"Bellingcat" witness tells court about inquiry into Khangoshvili's murder

A series of investigations conducted by the "Bellingcat" jointly with other media partners have established that the person accused of Khangoshvili's murder had passports on two different names. This suggests that he had collaborated with Russian special services, a classified witness said in court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the first session on the murder case of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, a native of the Pankisi Gorge, was held in Berlin on October 7, 2020. Investigators claim that the suspect is Vadim Krasikov, but he himself presents him as a construction worker from Bryansk, Vadim Sokolov.

Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was killed in Berlin on August 23, 2019. One of the two detainees was charged with the murder and arms trafficking. According to the German Prosecutor's Office, the defendant "acted on behalf of the Russian government" and committed the murder either for a reward or because he shared the customer's motives.

The classified "Bellingcat" journalist was questioned in court on March 3. He told about a series of investigations conducted by the "Bellingcat" jointly with other media partners, which revealed that the detainee, when trying to destroy proofs, had passports to two different names and allegedly collaborated with Russian special services, Valeria Dobralskaya, a journalist of the "OstWest" TV Channel, who was present at the trial, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
