Relatives treat health condition of Ingushes deported from Egypt as grave

Ali Dzeitov, an Ingush student who has not been deported from Egypt with his three fellow countrymen, reported in his letter about law enforcers' pressure in Egypt. The deported three young people are in hospital; their health condition raises concerns, their relatives have reported. The fate of the fifth student, Khizir Dugiev, remains unknown, Magomed Mutsolgov, a human rights defender, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August 2018, five students from Ingushetia were detained in Egypt. In April 2019, they were accused of extremism, espionage and links with the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation. In January 2021, three Ingush students were deported to Russia; negotiations are underway on the fate of the fourth one, Ali Dzeitov, who is still in an Egyptian prison; he said that he was forced to sign some papers, but he "refused to do so, fearing for his future."

Mariem, the mother of the student, Ismail Chemurziev, who returned to his homeland, said that the guys' health condition raises serious concerns. According to her story, Ismail has a critical health condition – a brain cyst.

Ilez Aushev has "endless coughing and nose bleeding," Mariem has added. "Everyone has a whole bunch of diseases, apart from the fact that their psyche is completely disturbed," the woman has concluded.
