By his criticism, Kadyrov provokes new wave of Djumaev's heroization

Chechen authorities are concerned about the glory of Said-Mukhammad Djumaev, and are now trying to humiliate him in every possible way, as YouTube users have commented on Kadyrov's criticism of Djumaev, calling the latter a "real hero."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the protest action in support of oppositionist Alexei Navalny, held in Moscow on January 23, Said-Mukhammad Djumaev, a native of Chechnya, was detained in the Pskov Region and arrested until March 23. The man was charged with the use of violence against public officers. On February 3, Ramzan Kadyrov attacked Djumaev with harsh criticism, stating that he had harmed the people of Chechnya and acted unmanly by hiding from the law enforcers after the action.

YouTube users have remarked in their comments to Kadyrov's statements that Chechen authorities are concerned about Djumaev's glory. "They just envy him, his courage <...> the people have already recognized the hero – not only in Chechnya, but all over Russia and beyond," said the user Radio Raheem in his comments to the story by the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company) posted on the YouTube channel of the "1Adat" oppositional movement.

"It's too late to humiliate him, Kadyrov. The whole world already knows about his feat. At a rally in the United States, someone held a banner with his portrait. Poems and songs are dedicated to him! And you can't kill people's respect! It's shame to humiliate the one who can't respond to you!" the user oleg topolev has objected to the head of Chechnya. "Ramzan, people know who is a hero and who is a traitor. The truth is single. Djumaev and people like him are the best of Chechens," the user Vadim Isaev has added.

"Fake heroes are envying a real one; they fear the opponent," the user Gogi Inaihvili has stated.
