On January 25-31, no information arrived about any victims in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of January 25-31, 2021, there was no information about any casualties and wounded person in the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

Special and counterterrorist operations

In the evening on January 30, law enforcers in armoured vehicles cordoned off a territory in Nazran (Ingushetia): possibly a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was conducted there. According to eyewitnesses, one of the intersections in Kavkazskaya Street was blocked; there were many law enforcers and armoured vehicles there, but no shooting was heard. Local residents added that the mobile Internet was disabled, as is usually the case during CTOs. There was no official information about the incident.

Let us remind you that a week earlier, on January 18-24, 11 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus: six were killed and five more were wounded. All six casualties were alleged members of the armed underground in Chechnya. Five law enforcers were wounded.
