Militiamen injured in South Ossetia have been taken to North Ossetia

The Ossetian militiamen who were wounded as a result of the attack on the post of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of South Ossetia are alive, although two of them are still in a grave condition. Yesterday, on January 29, they were transferred to one of the hospitals of the city of Vladikavkaz (North Ossetia), where doctors continue struggling for their life, the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" informs.

It has been reported earlier that at night of January 28, 2007, at 03:30 a.m., an armed group from the side of the Georgian village of Nikozi swept the southern suburb of the city of Tskhinvali and the posts of the MIA of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO). Three employees of the MIA of the RSO were wounded. The South Ossetian party has accused Georgia of the attack, but Merab Antadze, State Minister for Settlement of Georgian Conflicts, called these allegations to be biased. In the place of the incident, a monitoring was held by the forces of military observers of the Joint Peacemaking Forces (JPMF) in the Georgian-Ossetian Conflict Zone together with the OSCE officers for military monitoring.
