Indictees of blowing up Grozny-Moscow train have not admitted their guilt

The defendants in the case of blowing up the Grozny-Moscow train deny their guilt, Valery Prilepskiy, advocate of one of the case figurants, has reported. "Today, after the public prosecutor has announced the indictment, the defendants have stated that they do not admit the allegations," the defender has told.

Under the conclusion of FSB explosives experts, an unshelled explosion device with equivalent power of 3 kilos of TNT (trinitrotoluol) was blown up under the moving train, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The explosion of the Grozny-Moscow train took place on June 12, 2005, in the 153rd kilometre of the railway in the Uzunovo-Bogatischevo section. Four cars were thrown off the track, and 42 persons addressed for medical aid. Five of them, including a child, were hospitalized. Businessman Vladimir Vlasov and Mikhail Klevachov, foreman of the State Unitary Enterprise "Gormost," are accused of installing the unshelled explosive device on the railways.
