Military Prosecutor's Office reports about 2858 deceased Azerbaijani military personnel

According to the results of the expert examinations, the bodies of 2858 soldiers and officers killed during the combat actions in Nagorno-Karabakh have been identified, the Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 18, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported that 2855 soldiers and officers, killed during the battles for Nagorno-Karabakh in the autumn of 2020, were buried. Other 50 military personnel are reported missed in action.

Today, Khanlar Veliev, Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, has reported that in the autumn of 2020, 2858 Azerbaijani soldiers and officers were killed during the combat actions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

"Based on the results of numerous expert examinations, units of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan have identified the bodies of 2858 Azerbaijani personnel killed during the combat actions," the "Interfax-Azerbaijan" quotes Khanlar Veliev as saying.

The bodies of the deceased soldiers and officers have been handed over to their families, the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office reports on its official website.
