Sultygov teip reports details about Ingush natives detained by Chechen law enforcers

Chechen law enforcers detained a father, a mother, and a sister of a native of Ingushetia involved in an attack on the police in Grozny, said Sarazhdin Sultygov, a member of the Ingush teip (family clan).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 28, in Grozny two men were shot dead in an attack on policemen; one of whom, Magomed Djabrailov, died. The attackers were the Timurziev brothers, natives of Ingushetia. Relatives of the deceased policeman declared a blood feud to the brothers' relatives.

The announcement of the blood feud was preceded by a video message posted by Timurzievs and Sultygovs demanding to prove that the killed were terrorists. Later, members of the Timurziev and Sultygov teips posted their second video message, where they admitted they had been wrong and expressed their condolences to the family of the perished policeman.

Members of the Sultygov teip know nothing about the fate of relatives of the two Ingush natives killed in Grozny by law enforcers, Sarazhdin Sultygov, a member of the Ingush teip, says. "The detained relatives are the father, mother, and sister of one of the killed natives of Ingushetia. We are not aware of their fate. We do not know where they are being kept," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Sarazhdin Sultygov.

According to him, negotiations are underway between the Chechen and Ingush alims concerning a trip to Chechnya to meet relatives of the Chechen policemen and to resolve the conflict under Sharia law. "The negotiations are underway, but the exact date has not yet been appointed," Sarazhdin Sultygov said.
