Inal Djabiev's relatives welcome New Year in at protest action

Despite the New Year celebrations, the Djabiev family spent their 29th day of protest action in Tskhinvali. Social network users have expressed their support and once again demanded to punish those responsible for Inal Djabiev's death.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since December 4, a round-the-clock protest action organized by Djabiev's relatives has been held in central Tskhinvali. They demand the results of the inquiry into Inal's death. The protesters are supported by some of MPs; they are boycotting the sessions of the parliament and demand resignation of the public prosecutor general.

The protesters complained that law enforcers did not allow them to set up a tent. A hole has formed in the only tent under which the protesters in the square could hide, but the police did not allow a new one to be stretched, said Oksana Sotieva, Inal Djabiev's widow.

Arzu Jio, a blogger, posted a video on the Instagram, in which Maya Djabieva, Inal's mother, stands in the square in front of a photo of her son, placed on a bench and surrounded by candles.

Let us remind you that on December 29, Anatoly Bibilov, the President of South Ossetia, fired his adviser Soslan Djusoev, who had joined the protesters Tskhinvali. MPs have treated this and other dismissals of officials as facts of persecution, since they are associated with support for the protest action.
